Inspiring learning for a fairer future

#Books4ABetterWorld challenge

Thursday, 14 September 2017 12:50

September is Scotland's Global Citizenship month and HOW have been challenging people across the country to share a book a day for 30 days through our Twitter challenge #Books4ABetterWorld. Each day we have shared a book that makes us think, inspires, helps develop empathy, celebrates difference or prompts action.

The Education team at the Department for International Development has taken up the challenge, as have libraries, individual teachers and fellow Development Education Centres across the country (and in Ireland). For ideas of fantastic books that develop global citizenship as well as literacy skills, check out our Twitter feed @HOWDEC #Books4ABetterWorld
