Rights across the Curriculum: an active learning approach

This course aims to support teachers at all levels to embed an exploration of human rights across the curriculum and into the ethos of the school. This is offered as a 2 part course.

Key points

This course will:

  • build knowledge and understanding of the UNCRC and Human Rights
  • make links between Rights-based learning, Global Citizenship and Learning for Sustainability
  • use active learning methodologies to explore rights and embed rights within the curriculum
  •  consider a wide range of resources to support rights-based learning and teaching
  • provide an opportunity to try something new back at school and then come together again to share experiences with other teachers.
