Learning for Sustainability: Making the Connections

A three-part practical course that brings together the three key elements of Learning for Sustainability; Global Citizenship Education, Sustainable Development Education and Outdoor Learning.

 Aims:

  • To gain an understanding of how the three key elements of Learning for Sustainability (LfS) are connected and how they can be successfully integrated within teaching and learning
  • To share professional practice with colleagues
  • To become confident in identifying outdoor learning opportunities and ways to manage the process
  • to explore frameworks for developing LfS across the curriculum, apply them to a topic on Global Forests and develop your own.

Elements of each part of this course will take place outdoors, whatever the weather! Please ensure you bring clothes to stay warm and dry.

 

Who is it for?

Primary teachers wishing to embed Learning for Sustainability in their practice.
