This project, funded by the Pebble Trust, supported a global citizenship approach to teaching about the climate emergency in schools across Highland in the run up to COP26.

Highland One World developed a fully participatory and interactive three part course for teachers. The course aimed to increase understanding of the science and the global social justice issues of climate change and increase teachers’ confidence to help pupil respond to the challenges with positive action.

As part of the project, we developed a guide to active global citizenship education resources that Scottish teachers could use to explore climate with learners. The guide has been accessed over 3000 times and is available to download here
